Trade Program for Interior Designers, Architects & Builders in NYC

The Urban Homes Trade Program gives interior designers, architects, builders, contractors, and developers trade pricing, a dedicated account manager, and technical support on kitchens, bath cabinetry, closets, interior doors, furniture, and outdoor kitchens. We’ve been the exclusive North American distributor of Aster Cucine and an authorized Wood-Mode dealer, operating from our showroom at 325 West 16th Street in Chelsea since 2005. You lead the design and keep the client relationship. We turn the design into cabinetry that we can engineer, manufacture, deliver, and install correctly.

Who the program is for

  • Interior designers. Take your clients to the showroom as an extension of your studio. We do all the layout, all the dimensions, all the interior fittings, all the appliance integration and all the manufacturing detail and you’re in complete control of the look.
  • Architects. We work with you through the early planning stages, producing cabinet drawings and specifications which your contractor, your appliance supplier and your stone fabricator can all work against. It’s far cheaper to get the cabinetry into the drawings at the outset than it is to have it on site at a later stage.
  • Builders and contractors. We’re a cabinetry specialist not a general contractor. You get the drawings, the dimensions, the appliance specs and the site prep requirements so your people can rough in correctly the first time.
  • Developers. Kitchen and bath packages for condos and rentals, from unit type planning through to floor by floor installation.

What trade members get

  • Trade pricing across the entire brand portfolio, set so you can protect your margin.
  • One Account Manager (Specifications, Quotes, Order Tracking and Post Installation Support)
  • CAD drawings and 3D renderings for client presentations and co-ordination.
  • Priority showroom appointments for client walkthroughs and finish selection.
  • Custom engineering for non-standard dimensions, complex millwork and layouts not in the catalog. If it’s not a standard detail we work it out direct with the manufacturer.
  • Logistics all sorted. European manufacture, ocean freight, customs and delivery times all arranged.

How a trade project runs

  1. Brief. Send us the drawings, a rough plan and some photos. We then go through the space, the appliances and the budget with you.
  2. Design and quote. We produce the layouts, CAD drawings and 3D views and provide pricing at trade rates.
  3. Selections. You and your client choose the finishes, doors, surfaces and hardware in the showroom or from the sample kits at your office.
  4. Final drawings. Cabinet sizes, door layouts, appliance openings and all the technical detail go to you and your project team for sign off.
  5. Production and delivery. We place the order, track production and shipping and then schedule delivery to the site.
  6. Installation and then after. We co-ordinate with the contractor, plumber, electrician and stone fabricator and then we’re on to do the fine tuning after move in.
  1. Multi-unit and developer projects

We supply multi-unit cabinetry for condominiums and rental properties throughout New York and the US. The developer, architect and project manager have one supplier to go from unit type planning through to the final punch list: value engineering, model unit and amenity packages, production scheduling, phased deliveries and floor by floor installation.
Buildings: Via 57 West (709 units), Mercedes House (884 units), The West (220 units), The Printing House (160 units), Steiner East Village (83 units) and 51 Jay Street in Dumbo (81 units).
