Step 1: Initial Design Consultation

Your project begins with a complimentary consultation at our Manhattan showroom.

In this meeting, we learn about your vision, how you cook, your storage needs, design style, budget, and project timeline.

Step 2: Preliminary Kitchen Design & Budget

After your first consultation and reviewing any drawings, our designers create an initial kitchen layout that looks good, works well, and makes the most of your space. We think about cabinet layout, how appliances fit in, storage options, how people move through the space, and architectural details. At this point, we also talk about cabinet materials, finishes, customization choices, and estimated costs. Our goal is to set a clear design direction and budget before moving on to detailed planning.

Step 3: Design Retainer & Detailed Planning

When you are ready to continue, we set up a design agreement and collect a design retainer. This allows our team to start detailed planning, take measurements if needed, coordinate technical details, and create full cabinetry drawings. Our designers fine-tune the kitchen layout, check appliance details, and handle key construction points to make sure the cabinets fit well with your space. We work closely with your architect, interior designer, or contractor whenever coordination is needed.

Step 7: Delivery & Installation Coordination

When your cabinets are finished, we arrange shipping and delivery based on your project schedule. Our team gives your contractor or installer all the technical documents and installation details they need. If you arrange installation separately, we share all the needed cabinet details with your installers to help make sure your kitchen matches the approved design. Please note: Urban Homes specializes in kitchen design and cabinetry supply. Your licensed contractors perform general construction, plumbing, electrical work, demolition, and other renovation services.
